Step One:
Apply BB Cream (like this one, from Maybelline) to these spots on your face. BB Cream is honestly the best thing you can do for your face as far as foundation goes: it is tinted (to cover up unsightly blemishes and marks), it has built-in moisturizer (which keeps your face looking fresh), and it is super lightweight.
Step Two:
Take a FAN BRUSH (like this one, from Smashbox) to apply bronzer to the regions of your face that the sun would naturally shine on. Your nose, cheeks, forehead, and chin are probably the best places to put it. It will brighten up your complexion, and will make your face look well-rested, and sun-kissed.
Step Three:
Find a neutral palette that goes with your skin tone, or one with pinks and purples (like this one, from M.A.C.) --both are universally flattering for all skin tones. Apply the lightest color all over your lid, put the medium color in your crease, and the darkest color lining the bottom to lighten your eyes. Blend them all together a little for a smooth effect.
Step Four:
Use a pencil eyeliner (my favorite is Smashbox's unlimited eyeliner in "smoke") and trace your entire top lid, right where your lashes meet your eyelid. Then, go underneath your eye, where the lashes meet your skin (not on that pink line... that's bad for your eyes!) and only go HALFWAY on the bottom.
Step Five:
Mascara, mascara, mascara! Layer on mascara to make your eyes look bright and wide. Many makeup professionals say that Maybelline's Great Lash mascara is one of the best, and can be bought without busting your budget.
Step Six:
Before you bound out the door on your way to start your day, apply some of this "Miracle Gloss". It is tinted blue (but you can't see it once applied), and makes your teeth look instantly whiter. It also smells amazing.
Now, walk out the door with your fabulous five-minute makeup! Au revoir!
