Let's Be Thankful...For Style!

Although the end of the fall season is coming to an end, and winter is just around the corner, that doesn't mean you need to sacrifice your cute skirts and sweaters for sweatshirts and UGGS. Being fashionable and warm is possible, you just need to be put on the track of how to do it right.

I've put together some cute looks you might want to wear for Thanksgiving on Thursday--they're totally chic and very family-gathering appropriate.

I love this look in particular--cool, layered, and very feminine. The oversized, cable knit sweater complements the straight, simple silk pants. Minimalist blue topaz earrings are accentuated by the burnt orange pants, and a choker necklace adds a little ka-pow. Bring the pretty side of the jungle to your paws with leopard-print pumps: they are a simple pattern but don't go overboard with the other components of the outfit. A blue pebbled leather purse is an easy accessory to add on, and is nice to own because it's easy to pair with other outfits. Green liquid eyeliner and punchy pink lipstick highlight your face--the colors go nicely together. Finally, don't just look your best, smell amazing, too! Philosophy's "Cinnamon Bun" shower gel smells just like the real thing.

For those of you who like the cozy-cute look, this is it. A fun sweater layered over a plain pencil skirt creates a dramatic affect when polka-dot tights are added. The different layers of the outfit work--the patterns that are mixed are fun and are used in sizable amounts. Short, black booties elongate your legs--a simple yet effective trick that can be used in a million different scenarios. Tan nail polish is perfect for this outfit: all of the bright colors and dramatic prints should be evened out with minimal accessories and extra colors. Blue eyeliner adds a little unexpected pop of color to your face, and complements all skin tones. Top off your outfit with a fun hat, like this one, and you're all set and ready to go!

Take the über-girly route this Thanksgiving with nude colors and black. A black-and-white polka dot miniskirt goes nicely over a cream-colored collared sweater. Add a little sparkle (because hey, diamonds are a girl's best friend) with metallic, rhinestone covered pumps. Bow gloves are oh-so-cute with any jacket--the leather makes them slightly edgy, but adorable nonetheless). Go with a matte maroon lip, and keep the rest of your makeup light and fresh. Finish off your ensemble with a spritz or two of Marc Jacob's Daisy: fresh and feminine just like you!
